Update for Paige

Ok,it has been quite a while since our last blogging. We all had a blast in Newport with Patrick in July. That was our last big news posting. Since then we have had fun times at 1000 islands with the McCormicks, Paige and her dad had a big slow mo Sea Do wipe out in the river! ... Paige made a lovely cake - enjoyed by all and caught up with her fun friend Charlotte. We had a super Thanksgiving and a memorable Christmas. Now we look forward to celebrating Sadie's first birthday, take a trip to ah over Eddie's hockey skills, and plan a trip to sunny Florida.
Thought you'd all like this picture of Rock Star Paige and her kickin' Aunt Erin. I just can't take how cool they are. This photo was taken after Paige's team, the Gulls, pulled off a win against a tough team. Very exciting. Paige is a natural on the ice and a blast to watch. Rock on Paige!!!
More blogging to come - keep us on our toes Paige!

Jammin' with Sting and the D'Ambrosia's in Narragansett

Big Bash Saturday. Joe Healey put on quite a party celebrating his 40th with family and friends and spreading word for the We are Family cause (for cultural diversity). Thank you goes out to Joe H. and Michael D'Ambrosia for the invite. What a memorable time. Here are some great shots from the event.
Oh look, there is Sting now hanging out with Judith and Erin!
Michael is the hotty in green and Joe is in the white.

We could not have been closer unless we were Michael or actually on stage.

Pretty killer huh? So what did you do Saturday night? :)

July is just a blast
We are having a ball this summer. A couple more weekends to go and already a list of good stuff to report: Judy Collins Concert in Newport with Deb, strawberry pickin' with Stephen, meeting the new Coco Chanel McCormick, cruising the islands and relaxing at Bird's Nest, making cake with James, tennis with Elizabeth, and happy hour in Snug Harbor with rock stars Donna and Chris. Picked a few photos to show and tell.

Who are those two gals at the Judy Collins concert?

Hey, Sweetberry Farm - How do you like me now with my big bushel of berries!? And, this was after strawberry season. Stephan can sure pick' em.

Introducing Coco Chanel McCormick and her naptime (it takes a village).

Enjoying Bird's Nest and cruising the river in the Grady

Making cake with James

Tennis with the new star - Elizabeth.

Happy Hour(s) in Snug Harbor

Good stuff huh? It all makes the drive worth it. Great people, lots of laughs, and beautiful sights along the way.

(don't know who's boats these are, but aren't they lovely?)

Good Times in June
So, May past us by without a photo to show. We coudn't let that happen in June. Too much fun happening to not juice up the camera. Erin adopted a new baby. Jackie now has taken a back seat to the Seadoo. Check out E on the new ride! Time to dream up a name for the family addition.

A good story from the day we put 'er in the drink. A natural athlete and a quick study - Erin would be off and bombing around the river in no time. So, I took a moment for a lesson before backing up the trailer down the ramp. "Ok, now the most important thing to remember is to tie 'er down while you start it up and warm up the engine. Then you can untie and get off and running. If you don't - you'll be flailing about and drifting away not certain if the engine will start. Not a good idea. Got it?". "Got it". Back down the truck, float the Seadoo off the trailer, Erin on the dock with the line. I drive off to park the truck and trailer, and as I walk onto the dock Erin is on the Seadoo with line in hand - No engine on - and flailing about! But, with a smile ear to ear like she is 5 and it is Christmas morning. Hysterical.

Can't wait to get back up to the river to cruise the Islands!

"Not 40 Yet" Gathering at the Warwick.
The A team drove through the rain and traffic to get together at the Warwick in NY. We missed all the folks that couldn't make it, but your lively spirits were with us. The Brinley Gold was enjoyed by all. Here is proof that the bottle was full at one point. Toni will get her very own next gathering. She and Gwenn get the farthest traveled award. What a blast to spend some time with you two. Our favorite blonde Pharmacist made and brought the best cream puffs ever. The platter was full at 8:00 p.m. and rather empty by 8:00 a.m.

Whoohoo - everyone needs a good ottoman and coffeetable move. Erin is really showing off her stuff here, but we agree Maggie, Gwenn, and Matilda get the best live performance awards. This is a family show so we'll keep the photos to a minimum.

Here is a great shot of the terrace we never got a chance to fully enjoy. New Yorkers must have cranked out a heck of a rain dance - the spring showers just went on and on. So, another day for terrace fun - maybe when we really are 40.
Keep the celebration snowball rolling.

Thank you to the A team - Suzanne, Maggie, Fred, Matilda, Gwenn, and Toni - for the memorable time.
A note to Gwenn and Toni - looking forward to meeting Jean/Gene (?sp). Erin and I will practise our synchro swim routine for your upcoming pool party.

St. Barth's was a blast

We are back safe and sound from the great trip to St. Barth. Yup, we really went! I always wanted to go ... so that is just one more thing crossed off the "gotta do" list. Actually, once we crossed it off - we put is right back on as "gotta go again".

All vacations require finding a good cup of coffee served with a smile, great swimming and beaches during the day, and a knock out restaurant for dinner. This trip had it all and then some.

Beaches were beautiful. Here are some shots of Saline Beach and St. Jean.

While we sat on the beach enjoying the view ... those Europeans are very free with sharing the birthday suit look. Looks ok on some and a bit funky on others. Anyway, pealing our eyes off the sites - we knocked off a couple good books and practised our French. Boy can we order a heck of a jambon due fromage croissant. We Merci'ed, Bonjour'ed, Bonsoir'ed, and sil vous plait'ed our way all over that mountainous island - like no one has ever done before.

Chez Andy - The Hideaway welcomed us the first night and saw us off the last. The owner "Andy" was some smarty pants from England introducing himself as Roger. I only found out just now that he was the real Andy in the flesh. Anyone planning a trip to St. Barth should surely plan a visit to meet Andy, make a great night of it and enjoy the sweet and silky Vanilla Rum.

Counting down the days 'til we return.
